Second Artist Alley event recap!

Second Artist Alley event recap!

Hello! \(^_^)/

(Decided to make all "Artist Alley event recap" posts public because I want to highlight all the stuff I bought from other artists!)

I had my second artist alley event last weekend. It was fun! ✨

My table weeee!

I did a small change to my grid this time: adding one floor on the right side so I can have two higher floors for cork boards display and anything else I wanted to highlight (this time: my calendar). It turned out too high ;-; so next time I'd revert back to previous grid arrangement.

I also adjusted some pricing: calendar's price is now slashed because 2026 is ongoing, and I made all stickers priced at 1€ each! It was hard keeping up with which stickers cost 1€ or 2€ – which I initially decided based on how old they are – but making everything at 1€ helped so much in organising and counting.

I may not profit a lot from the stickers, but my main goal in joining artist alleys is to meet people and get to know what they like. It's more like market study for what I'm making: visual novels mostly, and comics too when I feel like! XD

In summary: get people to know I exist is a win! If there's anyone interested in getting a merch or two from my table, I'd be forever grateful 🥺🥺🥺 like: eee!! You like my art and are happy to buy them!! 🥹🥹🥹🙏🙏🙏 It's a huge confidence boost! But don't let that discourage anyone reading this from not buying. I'm already happy to have anyone takes a few seconds to look at my table. Your time is precious!! Thank you!!

At least, this is my mindset when joining artist alley events. ^^

In addition to that, getting to know other artists offline is a unique experience I can't get elsewhere. So, it was a great meeting mind-alike people opportunity for me too!

Overall the event was calmer compared with my first, but even so I had truly fun time! The slower pacing and the vibe was lovely. I also arrived quite early, so I could take my time building my grid and even decorated a little.

In this event, I did something new! I started a guestbook for everyone to doodle in return of a tiny free sticker. It's a Kitty sticker, because I only thought of this the night before the event; I printed my Kitty icon last-minute.

I didn't expect it to gain some doodles! They are so, so adorable... 🥹 Thank you everyone! I might have shared more freebies than expected because I like giving stuff to others aaa... 🫣

Next time I'll bring extra, because I totally ran out of free stickers!

Everyone's doodle:

Having guestbook is so fun, I'm so gonna do this in every event I'm going to go to! I will bring more coloured markers as well!

I also made another free sticker: it's Lura special sticker, where it has Tili (Lura's mascot) and I only printed very limited edition of this sticker, to make it only available in this event! ✨ I gave this to everyone who made a purchase in my table!

I finished this sticker before the event ended... ;-; Then at home after unpacking, I actually found one last piece of this sticker!

Guess it's now mine!

It's super simple but really dainty and cute! <3

I even had the time to go to many other tables leisurely and bought quite some stuff! I... might have spent a bit too much for these but I didn't regret it. I don't want to miss out not meeting them again. 💦

What I got (purchases + freebies):

Artists whose tables I visited and/or purchased from (list unordered): is_artstuff, nalurianne, petrubi, daiphire, handmade.floof, shujuunn_, bvnnieechu, burlesca_art, cahfescorner, ttsun, takoslittle_art, angrytoons_, bunniebuns.studios, outranes.illustra, nobunnyknowsme, event.orizon
(I'm aware there are some stickers/tiny art I couldn't recognise who the artists were, please let me know if you see this and I can credit you accordingly!)

(Almost?) all of them are OCs/original creations 🥹 I always get original creations from artists tables, only because I barely know the trending fanart everyone is making... And I just wanna collect precious little OCs anyway! It was amazing that I met a few OC artists in this event, they were very friendly and passionate!

Also, thank you for the shoutouts:

🫶 I'm glad to say hi to you all! Hope to see you next time!

And here are the live sketches I did:

This time I remembered to take pictures before gave them away! I did the sketches in two phases: pencil sketch -> ink. The clients received the ink sketches! I think they're quite cute even when I messed proportions and poses a lot aaa ;-; (hand literally shook when I drew them because I was super nervous...)

Also thank you my friend who agreed to help me throughout the event. 🤝 It was truly appreciated!

Would absolutely love to join Lura again next time! ✨ Let's see whether the next date matches my schedule. ^^

p.s. I don't have Insta in my phone so I can't interact much ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ I repost the shoutouts it here instead! 🙏
