Monthly Summary: January 2026

Monthly Summary: January 2026

Hihi!! πŸ‘‹

January was a productive month! I had fun working on stuff: art trade, VN dev, writing, market preparation, etc., etc.

I kickstarted the year with fanarts! As I confirmed 2 more in-person events, I wanted to add a few extra fanart prints to my table. Learning from my first event, fanart was quite popular apparently.

It wasn't easy to decide on which fanart I want to draw. I only like very niche things, and since my goal of approaching fanart making is to sell more stuff, what's the point of making it if it's not popular? I'd rather spend my time and energy making things I actually enjoy and like. So there's this dilemma. I'm not interested in making the currently popular stuff as I'm mostly not into them, so, it makes it sound like I'm hard to please yeah? Haha...

In the end, I decided to only make fanart (to sell) of the charas I actually like!

One fanart I completed this month is from Cookie Run Ovenbreak: a limited valentine edition super epic costume of Sugar Swan Cookie: True Love's Vow.

I had to admit it didn't catch my attention when it released. Now I'm hoping that the dev will rerelease its banner for me to roll.

(Disclaimer: I'm mature enough to play gacha games, I play responsibly!)

I also did this Amnea fanart for an art trade!

I took a while to finish this, because I wanted to draw more detailed frame and outfits. It was really fun!! I'm looking forward to getting the VN when it's released!

Earlier in the month, I got two more fountain pens! βœ’οΈ I shall not buy more pens *pointing at the mirror* πŸ‘‰πŸ«

Resharing these doodles because they're so precious (sorry for the bad grammar):

This month's banner is Yumi-chan!

I will be busy preparing for both of my artist alley events until March, so for the next few weeks I'll mostly work on it. I don't think I will make new merchs, but I may make more watercolour paintings and some homemade stickers. I'll share more of them here!

In addition to that, I have started the writing process of Reapers on Duty! It's so heartful... I'm taking my time writing it. It's currently at around 17,000 words. πŸ₯²
