Monthly Summary: January 2025
January felt like a very long month, and it seems like many felt the same. Hang in there, everyone! >.<
It was a busy month for me: went through commissions work which were really fun. Since commissions work is the biggest priority for me, other planned projects such as the calendar art, etc. had to be pushed to the side a little bit. Hopefully I'm able to return to it soon.
Also, I'm really sorry ๐โโ๏ธ for this month's super tardy posts. I did a lot, but making the time to sit down and post was hard for some reasons. I hope I can stabilize everything in the foreseeable future.

Art stuff
I did a lot of commissions work. I won't share any unpublished work of the commissioners here until they personally publish it (and then I'll do a post here too!). It has been fun! I'll do some more commissions towards February, and so on.
New year = new 'new year illustration'! This time, I wanted to incorporate the snake year since I have always been incorporating animal year in my new year illustration, so I doodled Lena in hanfu dress and a chonky green tree python snake. (2372, 2373)
I also tried to sketch some romantic illustration: 2347, 2348, 2349 โ I really like the scarf illustration of 2349, so I'll render that!
I did my first big illustration of the year: Mitsuki fan art from Graces: Posthumous Wish VN. (posts: 2350, 2352, 2355, 2356, 2357, 2366) I have yet to find the time to continue reading this, but so far I'm loving the first half an hour of it. Thank you Ryuu-chan for introducing this VN to me. And for the art trade offer! ๐ซถ
In the middle of the month, I suddenly felt like experimenting on some pixel art drawing. (posts: 2351, 2353, 2354) I think Krita is still not fully designed for pixel art drawing, but the brushes are doing really good job. I use the pixel brushes from Rakurri's brush bundle!
I also shared some assorted scanned pen/pencil doodles I did throughout the past few months since I don't touch them anymore. (2363, 2364, 2365, 2367, 2368, 2369, 2370, 2371) I'm glad that they are now digitally backed up!
Dev stuff
Blooming Chimes is continuing!! ๐ช I tidied up the existing script from 2023 and continued the plot to the planned 3 arcs! I shuffled some scenes around for the best flowing story and it's really fun. It's been a while since I write something that's purely to my liking: everything from the characters, the scenes, some tropes and more. And I'm having the best time of my life writing about my characters blooming relationships.

Currently obsessed with them, so I drew Bell for this month's banner! She's the cutest.
The good thing about working on this: I love that all of my characters are all having a good life, there are only happy endings for everyone, and the dramas are enjoyable (well, at least, for me).
The bad thing: indulgence project will take a long time to finish since I become perfectionist. The return may not be equal to the effort spent in making this, but I don't mind that, er, at least for now. Blooming Chimes is such a project, so I wasn't thinking much about catering to any audience but myself hahaha...Well, marketing will be a future-me problem. It will be fine. Hopefully. ๐
