Monthly summary: August 2026

It's a busy month for me, away from creating. I couldn't sit for too long to draw sadly, but it is what it is.

Normally, this is around the time where I'd start working on my next year's calendar and get excited to apply to more events. The ones I attended before recently opened their registration for autumn events, but both of their next events dates clash with my personal schedule, hais. 😔 Because of that, I won't print many 2027 calendars this time. I wouldn't be able to visit other artists' tables as well.

Well, it's okay. It just means I get more freedom to lock in (as usual) and work on my commissions and personal projects more!

Speaking of commission, I did a quick one earlier this month:

An itchio thumbnail done for GUIManipulate! (Now that I look at it more, Eileen looks like Lucky Star's Tsukasa haha...)

There are some more WIP commissions I do this month for a few VN projects, so I will only show them once they're released. 💪

I also did other fun things this month:

⬆️ Made a doodly graphic of tuna rice recipe. I may polish this one day.

⬆️ Made a plushy design for Bell and Haru! 🧸 Just the design for now.

⬆️ Made mini sketchbooks from various paper type for fun doodling sessions without commitment to expensive sketchbooks.

And lastly, I got my first e-reader!

Since I've been away from my laptop for way too many times, I can't read VNs as much. Books have been my saviour, but after some considerations, e-reader is a fun device to keep in my bag which I can whip out anytime. I love my trusty physical books, but e-reader's convenience is really nice too, honestly. My current daily purse is rather small, and my books are thick, so this e-reader is very nice and dainty to slip inside it.

For now it's loaded with my own writings, since I'm reluctant to rebuy the books I own in their e-book format. I'll need to find a balance between those. 📚
