Aniaki Winter 2026 event recap

Aniaki Winter 2026 event recap

In summary: after two experiences, tabling at artist alley gets more exciting and fun now! ✨

This was the second Aniaki I joined, and it was as great as my first one, if not better – now that I went in prepared, it was easier to figure out what to do and how to manage things.

Building the table still took me an hour and half for some reasons. 💦 I don't know how much practice I needed to speed this up, or I was just really slow and weak. >.< Nevertheless, this time it was finished building on time!

My table! ✨

I don't really follow any theme/branding, my goal is to showcase everything I'm making to look at a glance. >_< It can look a bit messy... 💦 At some point, perhaps I can start thinking about theme and branding for my IRL table/store front. For now, I'm still navigating around. I want to take my time in this before investing my time and money in designing stuff around for branding sake.

In a way, it kind of shows that I'm not a really good designer. In fact, I may be bad at it... I just like to draw, designing is a whole new skill...

My table was also in the corner this time! I noticed I didn't share my table location, so here it is:

I'm in the 2nd room this time! It was fun!

I slipped a discreet fanart on my table, hoping anyone would notice her. It's like a hidden achievement:

The cat girl!

So far no one was able to guess her. Can you 🫵?

Once again I brought my guest book for passerby to doodle on, and many did! It was super entertaining watching people doodling. Some were too shy and claimed they "can't draw" – but they doodled the cutest little creatures! I think almost none read my guest book sign that says "doodle for a free sticker", because they were so surprised that I handed them a tiny Kitty sticker. >_< Your doodles are your physical mark of passing by my table, and it was a precious memory for me. Especially since I didn't take photos. I couldn't even hold my phone: being in the event, looking at people, drawing live sketches was more fun than taking photos – so the guest book was my memory recorder. 🥹

I did quite some live sketches in this event, so I couldn't walk around much. I got myself the following:

  1. Shikishi commission by Maru-n! Thank you so much Pippa is so pretty and colourful! ❤️ Also so many freebies! You're always so kind and helpful, thank you!
  2. OC print, stickers and tiny cat phone charm by discreetlydraw! Your chara is so cute, I'm so happy to get original stuff. It was great to meet you! Thank you so much!

I'm so happy with what I got, these are so so pretty aaah ;-; I guess it's the drawback of having a table, it's hard to leisurely walk around. I hope these events thrive, so I can visit more of them!

Also, thank you for the shoutouts on Insta! Sorry I don't have Insta on my phone so I can't repost these. I'll just archive them here instead. In a way, it's a form of reposting.

Thank youuuuu 🫶 hope to see everyone again in future events!
