2909. Maple and Cali chilling doodle

Interacting characters is one of my favourite visual to see, and so, I want to draw a lot of them.

I still have a lot to learn from sketching up natural, relaxed poses, which is one of the main part in interacting characters drawing. Gesture sketching practice should be one of the main key in getting better at this.

One of my favourite theme (genre?) in this sketching is friendship and romance. I love drawing character enamored by the one he/she loves the most. Watching his/her beloved with sparkly eyes, looking at how passionate this person is, and wanting to cheer on him/her from the bottom of their heart.

I have two coupled characters, one of them is Cali and Maple – who are childhood friends turned lovers. They were good friends, and they remain are even after they started dating. I think it's really nice and sweet, that after Cali's confession in Mrs Peregrine VN, they still treat each other the same way.

There are so many little scenes I sketched and wrote of them post Mrs Peregrine. I don't plan to make VN out of them for now because the scenes are loose and I have other VN projects in-progress, but perhaps I can compile those scenes, edit them properly, draw some interesting scenes, and format them like light novels? 🤔

The idea is very intriguing.
