2901. Homemade sketchbook first page + assorted doodle 22
Remember this homemade sketchbook I did a while ago?
I've since doodled on it a little bit, and only then I realised: I prefer sketchbooks in A5 to A6! I thought I'd love smaller pages, but it took me a while to enjoy drawing in A6 sized sketchbook. Perhaps it's a matter of getting used to it.
Besides, scanning this super thick A6 sized sketchbook is a little bit annoying. Half of the scanner bed is wasted each time I scan a spread. With A5 sized sketchbook, once spread it can covers the entire bed. That feels quite satisfying.
Anyway. It's alright! I've swatched all my painting tools on the first page. The first doodle is always nerve-wrecking, but I feel better with this sketchbook, particularly because I made it myself. I don't feel the urge to make perfect doodles... I want to use it to test as many painting mediums as possible.
