2841. I reverted Krita back to 5.2
I'm unsure if this is worth a post here 🤔 but since I updated my Krita to 5.3 a few weeks ago, I noticed a few performance issues.
(I suspect that) it would secretly crash every night. I didn't witness its crash nor find out the reason why it did, so it only ended up as suspicion. I always leave Krita up and running on my laptop for days to work on my drawing. It never had issues for years until recently I noticed that every morning when I was about to return to drawing, I always had to launch Krita from the launcher.
Then it would ask me whether I wanted to open an autosaved version or the last saved version. This happening enough times convinced me that Krita has been crashing every now and then without me even knowing when or how.
Anyway, I can't have it like this, so I went back to version 5.2.16 and for some reasons, it feels smoother and faster? The major setting tweak I did recently didn't seem to bother, and the super specific brush I created to draw Re:Curse artwork behaves wonderfully again!
I was also super excited for the new text tool! It would be super fun to put typed captions all over my doodles but alas – it freezes many times when I attempted to do so. D: I don't know why! I searched the forums and bug base but no one seemed to have the same issue. It's sad...
It's just relieving that reverting version back is just really easy. ;-; I don't usually jump to newly released version right away, and the time I did so, I had to revert back. Aie...
Here's a quick doodle to test the reverted version of the software: Allie-chan from Re:Curse!

Back to working! ✍️
