2711. New ink: Platinum Carbon Black, Platinum Pigment Brun Sepia
I bought these bottles some weeks ago, but only properly write this commemorative post now!
They aren't cheap (in my view) but they are worth the money. Super smooth, waterproof (my need), and reliable!

Since I started drawing more on paper last year, I got interested in the world of pens and inks. I don't want to hoard hundreds of pens and ink bottles (I don't have that kind of money), so I put myself on a strict pen + ink budget.
Eventually, I want to open ink commissions with these. It sounds really fun!!! 🥹 Physical art commissions is not common, but I know it exists! Though I recently learnt that shipping around the world is a bit painful at the moment, especially shipping to USA, I really hope things will get better soon.
I'm pretty sure I've shared some doodles made with Platinum Carbon Ink (I'll call it PCB) before:

Waterproof ink seems to be a bit limited in the world of fountain pen inks, but PCB is one of the most praised one. It happens to be the one available in the shop where I buy most of my fountain pens so I also got it. And yeah, it's really, really good!!!
Next, Platinum Pigment Brun Sepia test:

Ooooh it has such cute colours!!!! 🤎 Since getting this ink, I mainly doodle and scribble/journal with this ink.
Remember when I bought Platinum Pigment Blue and Rose Red and mentioned how buttery smooth it felt like writing with it? This Platinum Pigment Brun Sepia has the same buttery smooth ink too! I used it in Kaweco Sport Broad nib, so perhaps it's a very broad/wet nib to write with. But I'm convinced, that all of Platinum Pigment inks are really smooth and wet... I love them a lot!!!
The colours available are standard: blue, red, and brown/sepia but for my doodling/scribbling needs, they are more than enough to own. Of course, I love gushing at people's pretty calligraphy with sheening and shimmering inks – so pretty gaaaaah!! – but I put myself on a very strict budget for this, uh, hobby? I don't want to hoard... Perhaps, a bottle a year is more than enough...

It's just too cute for meaningless doodles!
I'm looking forward to making more art with these inks! 🫡
