2698. "Moment" and "#emotional youth love story" by MacaronK
I was cleaning up my desk and found several art books I bought some months ago which I haven't documented here.
First, these two lovely, colourful artbooks by MacaronK:

I gushed a lot at the covers' colours! It's super vibrant, the pink shade I've never seen in paper. I talked a bit about pink/purple shade in paper or printed stuff that I was struggling with some time ago in another post. These books convinced me that these colours can be printed!
The photos didn't do justice as I took these at night with my warm light, sadly.

These books are collections of illustration. Pretty mini albums of drawings that tell heartfelt stories. I really, really like these themes: slice-of-life, tenderness in the daily occurrence. The sun reflection on the water that is brighter than usual on their faces, the falling leaves that she can smell, the snowflakes that melt in his cheeks.
While artist MacaronK uploads these illustration on their SNS, I wanted a physical copy of them. In addition to supporting the artist, having these books in my shelf, detached from internet/digital world feels intimate and private.

I can't read Japanese, sadly. My skill is limited to some anime/OST phrases and some very basic sentences I learnt in high school. But drawings tell a thousand word stories, right? At least for now, I really enjoyed these drawings.

Artbooks are one of the things I want to make, and collecting them from artists and creators have been my hobby recently.
