2641. Separated gallery images by year (website update)
It's been a while since I noticed this problem. Each time I tried to load my gallery page, my website becomes unresponsive... to the point that it goes down for a little while before it's able to collect itself again.
I have probably close to a thousand images in a single gallery page. I guess it puts too much restrain to the gallery page. I could have curated the content: separating finished illustration and sketches, for example... But I ain't got time for that ;A;
To prevent anyone looking at my gallery page to be blocked out because they try to load thousands of images, I decided to group them by the year they were made.
This is how it looks now:

It's just simple HTML and <ul>. I hope to make it more fun and customised but I really don't have the time...
I wrote a little bit of summary of what happened on each year. Wow, as I wrote them, it felt like I went down to memory lane... Looking at old drawing is very heartwarming. I got to recall some past events I completely forgot, such as the time I designed Illa Café maids, and when my current art style started forming. I can see all of it in this gallery page. It's like a proof, timeline, history – whatever you would call it – of what I've been going through artistically.
I should polish my website better: design themed pages for each projects I did (comics and VNs), redesign navigations with menus and submenus, go more crazy with layouting, utilise all CSS can offer, etc. My web skill isn't the best so I have to consult a lot, but I have tons of ideas... Which I have to put a brake on because if not, I'll end up having endless list of unfinished projects. I'll do them as the need arises. :D
