(2346) I bought Anatomy for Sculptors!
I bought this book yesterday ✨ And I'm already liking it so much! 🥹
I bought the PDF version even when I like physical books more because the total price for the book, shipping and import tax is a bit too much for me. >_< I'll still keep the paperback version it in my wishlist, but for now I'll do with the digital version! I can even keep a copy on my smartphone when I'm away from home and only have my sketchbook with me, I think it's quite convenient!
I'll share some of my favourite pages! These are taken from the shop page:
A breakdown of arm muscles. Very nice visuals! I already have this in my mind, but the grid view of it redrawn over the photograph is a super nice detail!
I've drawn something similar of what's shown this loosely, but putting more thoughts on the creases and gaps seems to softly improve the shapes overall. What a magic!
This is what sold me hahaha. Foot shapes! Throughout the years, I've been trying so hard to draw nice feet. There are many tutorials to draw feet: from amongus(?) shortcut, to duck head tips. They're fun but I want to learn the actual thing without the luxury of having actual human figures. Also, looking at my feet isn't the easiest especially when it's cold. 😔 One more detailed resource about it excites me!
See you!
