2025 art goals + review
Happy new year!! ✨
And happy Behind the Scenes anniversary!! It marks my second year posting here, and my sixth year of making art posts (almost) daily. That's really cool!!
Overall it's been amazing to leisurely post just about anything I want here. I would love to shout to the world the greatness of having our own site and platform!! It's a nice freedom to have!! 😆
There is one issue that I noticed: the server falls asleep randomly, a little bit too often, hence makes BTS inaccessible at the most random time. I'm not happy about this, but I can't figure out what's the problem by the time I'm writing this. I'm really hoping I'll find a solution some time this year.
Meanwhile, I'll do my best to come and check daily, and if it happens to be inaccessible for whatever reason, I hope to notice it ASAP and reboot the server back alive.
How was 2024?

I wrote that I wanted to be more active on Twitter, but the opposite happened haha – I think 2024 was one of my most quiet year ever, socially. I got super busy that I had 0 energy to post stuff on social platforms. How sad.
2024 was cool, even when it was crazy busy for me. I had a long break, joined some VN jams, published two more VNs, and worked on many stuff IRL and commissions. It was fun \o/ but also so, so tiring that I barely socialised this year. Well, not that I mind about that hahaha... 💦
I do feel like I could have fit way more productive time this year, but it was hard to organise my time around and finish everything that needed to be done. I had multiple repeated to-do list written across some papers, PC task app, and sticky notes which were scattered all over my desk. I tried to be organised, but it's not possible with my need of break time to keep the creative juices flowing. >q<
In the end, I stopped trying to be tidy and just did whatever I was doing my best. I got distracted so much all the time, I feel guilty about it hahaha. The good side is that I never reached any burnt-out state, but things progressed way slower than my expectations. This made me sad because I used to tell ETAs to people I work with, but I failed it multiple times. My commissioners are super sweet and understanding, they don't deserve my tardiness uwaaaah... 😭 I don't like this. 😔
I want to work on fixing this from today onward.
2024 art goals review
Blooming Chimes release (result = ❌)
I did some editing of the finished first arc, but that's all I did for this VN haha. 😭 I hope I'm able to progress much more in 2025.
Steam page (result = ✅)
I really wanted to make some VNs from 2023 public already, but life happened and I was never ready. All the pages are still in draft. ☹️
So, the pages are there! They're just not public yet. I want to make them public this year at least.
5 full illustration (result = ✅)

Learn Blender (result = ❌)
I didn't even touch it wahaha. I give up for now. I don't really see myself being obsessed with it anytime soon.

Had a holiday/trip after years of not having one. It was great of course! I met some old friends too. :D
Publishing two more VNs was also really fun, I hope this also counts! ✨

Definitely! My VNs backlog grew a lot but I'm happy about it! I also picked some of my old light novels and started reading them again! They're really fun! - be braver! (in many aspects) ✅
A bit too personal to give examples for, but yeah, it's been good! >,< I just noticed that until some months ago I was a bit too soft and bent my back too much for others. I'll grow out of it. 💪 - visit new places! ✅

2025 art goals
I saw some people make a whole bingo card for things to do in 2025 and it looks fun! BUT, knowing how terrible I am in sticking to such thing and be consistent, I think the small grid template I did last year works the best for me.
I did my best to make very humble and realistic goals:
- finish writing 3 volumes of Blooming Chimes!
I just want to finish writing them first. Only after it's done, I can work on other things slowly with clear finish line in mind. - Steam page with released games!
I have to finish the checklist (video trailer is the one I'm missing but I just can't find free time to start doing this yet augh), but for my free VNs, I hope to put them publicly this year! - 2026 calendar! (on time)
2024 and 2025 calendars were late because I failed to juggle VN dev and art making. I'm hoping to finish 2026 calendar earlier this year! - 5 full illustration
I like this goal, I want to do it again! - Publish one new VN title?
I have some outlines I can work on, but I don't know which one I feel like making for now. I'll see how it goes! - Read 10 VNs?
This may backfire hahaha 💦 but I want to read more! Reading is fun, but I hate how I always feel guilty if I don't make something. I still want to read something regularly...
I actually made the bingo card style too (4x4 grid instead of 5x5) but I would not worry about this too much.
Quietly slipped «Learn Blender» again in one of the grid hahah... 💦
I want to manage my expectations for 2025. There are so many nice things I want to work on, but at the same time I want HUGE wiggle room to allow accepting interesting projects, commissions, sudden burst of making-something-quick urge, and extra buffer time for health's sake. 2024 taught me a lot about these things and I think expecting the year to be productive is already very ambitious, isn't it? Hahaha...
